Co-operatives Fortnight events
Co-operatives Fortnight 19 June – 3 July is a call to raise awareness of co-operatives and of co-operation.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 16 June, there will be a Co-operatives Open Day at the Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay.
The public is invited to come and visit various co-operatives showcasing their organisations and it’s free to attend. There will be exhibitions all day and speeches at lunchtime, for more information visit http://www.thereisanalternative.coop/.
On Monday morning 21 June you can hear more about Co-operatives Fortnight on BBC Radio Cymru on Post Cyntaf between 7am and 8.30am on 92-105FM.
Also on Monday 21 June we’re organising a free event for co-operatives, jointly hosted by Co-operatives and Mutuals Wales and Co-operatives UK. This will be held at the Waterton Centre in Bridgend.
Between Monday 21 June – Friday 2 July the Jamie and Louise Programme on BBC Radio Wales will be visiting a number of our co-operative clients around Wales. Listen in between 9am and 12noon on 93 – 104 FM / 657 & 882 MW or listen live on-line.
Saturday 3 July is International Co-operatives Day. The Co-operative Group are offering free entry to the Centre for Alternative Technology, Machynllyth, and transport (by bus!) from points across Wales. For more information see http://www.thereisanalternative.coop.
