Next week is iTea and biscuits week 2010. This is the perfect opportunity to see what technology can do for you.

If you know someone who is confused by computers or can’t see the point in getting online, get them to go along to one of the iTea and biscuits sessions across the UK this week.

There is also a poster to download and display prominently somewhere that you might think will catch the eye of older people who are not regular web users.

The campaign is being run by Age UK but anyone can get involved by running a registered itea and biscuits session near them.

For more information visit iTea and biscuits.

Click.Connect.Discover from The Wales Co-operative Centre also hosts a wide range of taster sessions which include getting online, using the web, using Facebook etc. as well as many more. These are open to older people throughout the Convergence1 areas of Wales.

Click.Connect.Discover helps you make better use of technology. For more information , visit www.clickconnectdiscover.org

1 Convergence areas of Wales are Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Merthyr Tydfil, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Swansea, and Torfaen.
