Global Entrepreneurship Week

leave a comment »

This week is Global Entrepreneurship Week.

The campaign was co-founded by Enterprise UK, who are urging people to ‘make a job, don’t take a job’.

“Entrepreneurs are not born, they are made. Entrepreneurship is a skill that can be taught just like any other. That’s why Global Entrepreneurship Week is so vital right now. To inspire thousands of people to pursue their ideas, to create jobs and to build global ambition among young people and business owners alike.” Peter Jones, entrepreneur and Enterprise UK Chair.

This week is all about busting the myths that surround entrepreneurship. New research from Enterprise UK and Global Entrepreneurship Monitor shows that the preconceptions that stop many people from taking their next entrepreneurial steps are often ungrounded.

“Make a Job, Don’t take a Job” is a new report that shows how we can get over these myths by addressing some of the gaps that exist. See the website for further information.
