Pontypridd social enterprise wins a top prize at the Welsh Housing Awards 2010

with one comment

At the Welsh Housing Awards 2010, social enterprise Grow Enterprise Wales Ltd, GrEW, won the top spot for the category ‘Increasing Environmental Sustainability’. One of the business’s brands, Recycle & Grow, currently recycles around 15 tonnes of uPVC a week, which generates a weekly income of about £3000.

The Pontypridd based company provides training and placement opportunities to individuals in some of Wales’ most socially deprived and economically inactive areas. We at the Wales Co-operative Centre are delighted with the news, especially as we helped them to develop a business plan.

Congratulations GrEW!
