Informal networking evening – employee ownership and consortia

leave a comment »

Wales Co-operative Centre is holding an informal networking session on Wednesday the 21st of September. The evening will be hosted by Tredomen Business & Technology Centre from 5:30pm to 7pm.

The evening is aimed at those interested in employee-owned business and in businesses working together in consortia.

The event is centred on relaxed and informal networking opportunities and will include a 10 minute presentation from Wales Co-operative Centre.

A buffet and drinks will be provided courtesy of Wales Co-operative Centre.

The Business Succession and Consortia project has two aims: to encourage succession planning and the opportunities for employee buy-outs and encouraging businesses to work together as co-operative consortia to achieve improved results.

This evening’s talk will look at the benefits of employee ownership for business owners looking to move on from their businesses and will look at opportunities and benefits of working together as consortia to access commercial tenders, improve marketing opportunities and to benefit from economies of scale in purchasing.
