Farmers market every Thursday – Cardiff High Street

leave a comment »

The Riverside Market people invite everyone to the launch of the Cardiff Castle Quarter Farmers’ Market on Thursday August 4th, 2011 at 11am – 3pm

The launch will include an exciting programme of cooking demonstrations, tasters and other foodie activities.  The Deputy Mayoress will be on hand to lend her support , and a 10-foot tall Wales rugby player (courtesy of No Fit State Circus)!

The Castle Quarter Farmers Market will then run every Thursday morning from 11am – 3pm.

It will be located in High Street, across the road from Cardiff Castle and the busy crossing near the Central Market –  a fantastic location which will attract visitors and local shoppers alike!

The Market will run for an initial 12-week trial period, with the support of the existing Cardiff Central Market and other local businesses.

If all goes well, the Market will become a permanent weekly feature in Central Cardiff, and play its part in making High Street/St. Mary’s Street a vibrant cultural and commercial hub in our capital city.
