Budding Richard Bransons to get helping hand
Budding entrepreneurs in the Rhymney Valley have the chance to get a helping hand from a new project that helps small businesses make the most of IT and the internet.
The Welsh Government scheme Communities 2.0 offers financial assistance to buy IT equipment, as well as advice and support to get new enterprises on their feet.
Now aspiring business people are being encouraged to come forward and seek help to turn their ideas into reality.
Communities 2.0 can help people thinking of setting up a business where IT would be crucial to its day-to-day running. No IT skills are necessary to apply for help.
Ideally, the new business will help the community either through an environmental or volunteering element. It could employ local people or provide learning and training opportunities. To qualify for financial support, the business must show how it can benefit the local community.
Support is also available to existing enterprises where technology is integral area of the business.
